Welcome to ‘Strakers World’, giving you an insight into what we’ve been up to recently. Summer’s in the air, quite literally and activity on the house sales front has kept us all very busy! 

Here’s a taste of what’s been happening

The redevelopment of a village farmyard is quite often a sensitive subject.  An eyesore for one is often ‘part of village life’ for another and nobody likes change…so Coln Residential have taken great care with ‘The Lawns' to create a small village development of 15 homes that blends perfectly with its surroundings. Gabled natural stone elevations with Bath stone detailing establish a ‘Cotswold’ style whilst the latest in construction methods ensure high efficiency and low running costs. David has just joined our lettings team in Swindon. He has a wealth of lettings knowledge including a Technical award (NFOPP) and he is passionate about exceptional customer service and business development. 

David began his property journey as a trainee sales negotiator with a company in Cirencester.  After a successful spell in residential sales, David decided to make the move to lettings in 2008. This took him to Cheltenham, where he worked for over three and a half years, developing a small team. The lettings business grew to such a point that David was asked to manage a letting office in Gloucester.  On meeting his partner Katie (who happened to live in Swindon), David decided to take the plunge and relocate to Swindon, which is where David had been working as a lettings consultant before joining us.

David and his family live in the town. He has three children and a dog to keep him busy, along with his keen interest in sport – especially tennis and squash.

Our latest Land & Property Auction Catalogue is now available, illustrating twenty lots which will be on offer at the Steam Museum, Swindon on Thursday the 6^th August. Listing an interesting mix of residential and commercial properties, from a one bedroom apartment to an eight bedroom townhouse, the sale promises to be a good one!
